Litha Mini Altar: Altoids

Wiccan on the go. Let’s make a Litha Mini Altar.

When I started practicing, I thought I needed all these tools and special items to be a good wiccan.

News flash! I didn’t, and neither do you.

Honestly, all you need is your inner magic and nature, but sometimes the bells and whistles help.

Mini altars are great to have on hand if you are traveling or just not where your tools are.

With Litha around the corner, I wanted to make one. I have been thinking about it, and now I am finally doing it.

Here are my steps to make my Litha mini altar:

1. Clean, cleanse, and bless an empty almonds container. Why almonds? They are the perfect little containers. They will easily fit in a purse or bag, and they are sturdy.

2. Paint a solid color. I plan on making a few of these and want to be able to distinguish them. I painted my Litha box, a mix of fire colors.

3. Fill it with all the wonderful items. I added in a few tea candles, a crystal and a few herbs. I chose mugwort and chamomile. In addition, I tucked in a small cloth.

4. Keep on hand for a ritual away or out and about.

You never need anything more than your spirit, but it never hurts to have a little extra magic on hand.

Blessed Be
