The Trick to Happiness

Everyone is searching for happiness, but happiness is the most general term there is. Everyone will have a different way to achieve it and more so what it even means. But there is a trick to happiness.

I used to be very unhappy. Sometimes I still am. We are always in a flux of highs and lows. The first step to happiness is to accept that it is not a forever state. If we were always happy, we would not feel or experience any other emotion, and frankly life would be boring. 

I am very emotional and cry a lot. I cry when happy, sad, frustrated and angry. It is how my feeling come out.  That’s just me, but I crave happiness. Simple bliss. 

I had given up on happiness and decided it was just how it was and that was is and I did not get to feel that or needed to feel that, but then I realized, I control my emotions. I can control so much in my life, and I can decide my emotions and how they affect me and my situation. 

So, when it comes to your happiness, you have to do 3 things. 

1. Choose to be happy. Your can not be anything unless you choose to be.

2. Embrace it. It is an emotion, it can be fleeting, but catch those true moments of happiness and cherish them and choose that feeling always. 

3. Do what brings you joy. Life is too short to constantly be doing things that you don’t love.

Your happiness is in your hands, make the choice to take control.
